We have issued an update of MF Pro, version 6.4.

I've just put the news on the web site.

Out main goal was to tackle certain problems with the code, but also add a couple of new buttons and options to the program.

Please feel free to leave your feedback here.

How's the stability? I will give it a shot on the weekend when I can monitor it.

You might have never got this particular error, but it used to pop up when a lot of markets were loaded and there were insufficient funds to place bets. A couple of users emailed us about this and we had to fix it.

We addressed several stability issues in this update. We'll see whether it'll make difference. We keep working on version 7.0.

I have installed the new version but have found that my previous triggers relating to greeningup have been overruled and the autogreenup feature is put into action. Very confusing ! I have to alter my default settings in the autogreenup box as these are now in conflict with the figures I had set in my trigger.

Originally I had wanted to replicate the autogreenup process in my triggers and now I have what I wanted after a fashion, but I now have to alter all my triggers again to take account of the change.

Only about eight races left today so I'm going to continue to run my triggers just to see what happens. I will not lose much on the day whatever happens.

Are you able to highlight the changes that you have made in the new manual  , please ?  As a newcomer I was only just getting to grips with the old manual and am quite confused now.

This is getting more and more confusing. My triggers worked properly, then for about six races the autogreenup feature kicked in. Now, the software has reverted to its previous behaviour. Is it likely I have found some sort of bug, please?

Nigel,

We did not alter anything in the way of greening-up, so there's nothing to highlight actually, though the manual file has been updated both on the site and in the setup file.

If you email support about your trigger and tell them what you are trying to achieve, they will be able to help you.

Perhaps one of your triggers was somehow related to distributing loss, in that case their behaviour should have changed - but it is how the distributing loss is supposed to work.

Anyway, I suggest emailing support.

Thanks for your reply. Something very strange happened. I'll run my triggers again today to see what will happen and, then, if necessary, I will ask support for help.

Please make sure you run them in Test Mode, or seek help with the support.

I tried to back a selection on the ladder interface and then lay the same selection with a loss (lay amount same as back amount) but the distribute loss button would still tell me "unable to complete the bet, the prices are not suitable). Spread loss works without problem.

If I change the lay amount to something different then the back amount then distribute loss works as it should.

So there still seems to be a problem if there are only two bets on a selection (one back bet, one lay bet) and if the amounts of both bets are the same.

Please check.

Cheers,

Bamthwok, it indeed doesn't work if you backed and layed with the same amount, just like the opposite: if you back and lay to a profit on a single selection, you wouldn't be able to grene up, you would need to use the separate button "Distribute Profit".

We'll think on what can be done. Right now you can do it manually by backing on the selection with the loss, with the following parameters:

price: the current back price
amount: -PL/back price

So if the price is 4.0, and the PL is -30, you would back 7.5 to even the loss on all selections.

Hi Oxa,

Thanks for your reply. I know how to do the manual calculation.

But what I really was trying to do is to us a trigger that uses "distribute loss" action.

The workaround for the moment might be to adjust the lay and back bets to different amounts.

I hope you can sort this problem out.

My main idea is still to have one "equalize" trigger, that balances the profit on all selections no matter whether they end up in profit or in a loss.

Cheers,

I ran my triggers on every race today and everything worked well. Something went seriously wrong in about six races yesterday but whatever it was seems to have cleared and I made my expected level of profit today.

Is it possible to trigger the autogreenup function to work instead of clicking on the appropriate box, please ?  If one uses the function manually, it has to be done in every race as it resets itself after every race.

My idea is to write a simple trigger to back my imported selections and then allow the "autogreenup" to do the rest of the work for me.

Thanks

Im sorry the off topic, but i have the same problem, if anyone can help us i will give a many many thanks.

Like bamthwok says need "equalize" all market and have lays and backs on many selections with profits and losses and cant resolve all with one trigger..

Many thanks

I must say (and I am touching serious quantities of wood right now) that 6.4 has proved remarkably stable for me so far compared to previous version.

Long may it continue until we get the delights of V7 - roll on.

thanks Welldone.
