Would it be possible to add an option to automatically quit MFP when betfair is unreachable ?

Yesterday I quit MFP when betfair went down. The monitoring app (from jockersoft) automatically restarted the program but then it came back on with the message the betfair was unreachable. Only manual intervention got MFP back when betfair came back online. Thankfully I had the remote desktop app installed on my iphone.

If MFP would automatically exit if it can't connect to betfair, the monitoring app would simply keep restarting it until MFP can connect.

I read some suggestions about making a script to kill the MFP process when there's nothing in the logs for x amount of time, but I prefer to keep logging turned off for resource reasons and if there's no market to monitor for hours then I don't want it to quit either if everything is working fine.

Oh yeah, and sometimes a message pops up about a session token error and an advice to restart MFP, would it be possible to add an option to automatically exit or restart MFP in this case as well ?

Thanks !

I use this one:

http://www.mochasoft.dk/iphone_rdp.htm

It says it can not handle windows server but I have mfp running on a vps and it works just fine.

I have an Android phone and I am able to control my computer remotely using an application called TeamViewer. It is free for personal use. I have tested it and it works, however, I have no needed to use it in practice yet. It's a bit fiddly but in an emergency it would be handy to shut down or modify MFP.

The Betfair application is excellent. I am able to keep in touch with my bets already placed, backing and laying as appropriate when I am away from home.

I agree with it. I started using TeamViewer do work on problems remotely from one computer to another. Though, I haven't used it via my iPod touch. I will try it out and see how it works. Thanks for sharing.
