I have a great pleasure to announce the end of the first trigger competition.

It seems to me it has been a very interesting experience for all of us: we've learned a lot about who our clients are and in what way they use MF Pro. You probably have had an opportunity to see how your systems work in the battlefield and what to expect from them when they are left working on their own.

Congrats to Andrew Hurrell and his triggers "Selecting false steamers in running", well done Andrew! We will be in contact with you tomorrow regarding the prize and other matters.

I've just added news on the web site, with my remarks as to the course of the testing.

If you have something to say about the competition, or ask a question, or suggest an improvement for the next competition, you are welcome to do so here. Everyone is invited, even those who has not (yet) participated.

I want to thank the other competitors too. You have done a great job! Every trigger set was very particular and thought-out. I can now see that all of you do know what they are doing with their bets. I must say I've learned a lot from you, and you've been an inspiration for me and my colleagues in our further work on MF Pro.

P.S.
Alfaman, you were so close, I know! I've been in these shoes many times myself. But hopefully you'll nail it next time, won't you!

Can I just take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in what has been without question the most exciting few weeks I can remember.

The thrill of the contest has captured the imagination of not only me but many of my competitors and has really focused our minds on what may be possible using the astonishing software that the Welldone team has produced.

Realistically on a personal note, I have only scratched the surface of the possibilities with this software. I have been aware of the angles regarding money making opportunities within the Betfair markets for some considerable time (especially in running), however fate took a hand when a competitors software became unusable on Betfairs API and I stumbled across MF pro. This was probably the best thing that could have happened, as I finally have been able to produce what I hope will be a long term profitable set of triggers, capable of generating a steady flow of profits.

The competition however did highlight some fatal flaws i put into one of my triggers when I forgot to add a simple condition in the “Drifter in play” trigger. On the last day of testing it backed a losing horse in a close run finish that cost me £1175.  A simple “number of matched lay bets equals 1” condition would have saved this hideous loss, and another very profitable trigger would have resulted. The moral of the story being that there is so much to learn and this is why the testing mode is so vital.

Not only is this software unimaginably powerful and versatile is also backed up by a team of dedicated individuals who’s people skills and communication regarding feedback and help is second to none. Recently you made upgrades brought about by requests from just one particular user!  I cannot praise your team of developers programmers and helpers strongly enough, and trust that your remarkable product will become the standards by which others may be judged.  Wink

Can I also thank everyone involved in the forum that have always helped and encouraged, whilst ensuring that we remain grounded.

I especially want to thank OXA who always has the expert advice required to fix a multitude of issues that inevitably arise, and  ALFAMAN without who’s valuable input, my success in the competition could not have been achieved. On a purely logistical level his technical prowess with the triggers and understanding of the intricacies of the software is light years ahead of mine, and it was a kind of irony that having given me so much valuable help he should get piped on the line.         Sorry ALFAMAN  Cry
Anyhow the champagne is now safely out of the bottle and here’s to you, all members, subscribers and everyone at the welldone team not only for putting on this competition but also running it in a fair, unbiased and democratic way.

You are a credit to business ethics and dependability WELLDONE

Thank you

Thank You Welldone for hosting this exciting competition! You spent many time and affords to offer a fair competition environment.

My trigger file did not perform well, because in test modes unmatched bets get matched only if odd moves, so I missed many pairs of matched back lay bets. I expected to reach a score of  ~50, so the score of betfair winner, alfaman and Brad Jones is out of reach anyway.

Congratulation betfair winner. Congratulation to alfaman for very close 2nd place, too.

I will improve my inplay trigger and am looking forward to the next trigger battle.

Wink
Alla prox.
Congratulations to the winner! This fact shows that MF and a good trigger, you can create and do good profit. My that struck me the most 'in the trigger is that layed to odds such high is very dangerous, but the strategy has kept very well in 3 days.

Hi All,

I'd just like to congratulate Andy on his excellent win and to add my thanks, to his, to Welldone for providing such good (and continually improving) software and support from Oxa and her colleagues.

Thanks also to everyone for the compliments both above and in emails.  At the end of the day my trigger was just a little too volatile and caught a couple of 'not so good days' - so deserved to lose - but I was pleased to demonstrate it's potential by making over £1000 on one day on a bank of £2000.

Thanks to all those who have expressed an interest in obtaining my triggers.

Whilst I am very flattered that some of you are interested in trying the triggers out for yourselves. I would be a little uncomfortable passing on triggers to third parties that I am yet to be totally confident with regard to every aspect of their performance, reliability, functionality, and ultimate profitability. Happily I can confirm that my username has not been conceived by chance, and that at the time of writing i continue to profit from my triggers.

In that regard "Alfaman" and myself (who filled the first 4 of the top 5 places on the final leader board) have joined forces to work on maximising a combination of methodology, statistical analysis and practical build. This approach combined with additional insurance will ensure that once a trigger is finally produced by us it will be second to none and well worth the wait.

Any trigger that can produce a 50% return on a £2000 bank should be given serious attention! However we will not compromise (at any price)  the possibility of a run of bad results wiping out someone’s bank.

Please be patient until our combined efforts and 60 years of experience within the field,  produce what we feel will be a trigger that will encompass the might of the software program, combined with our abilities to convert sound long term methodology into reality.

Oxa,

Thanks for a very exciting competition (even for non-competitors)! It is remarkable to see what has been done especially by betfair winner and Alfaman to make such good use of your brilliant program.

Brad Jones's Trigger was also impressive. Might he too be interested in offering it for purchase? Perhaps he could indicate this on the Forum if he is and would welcome enquiry.

Many thanks for a superb program and all the help you and Welldone give to the MF Pro user community.

The results of this competition shows to everyone that spends time with calculations and testing using this great software that its not a waste of time and money. I hope some day these guys want to give us a litle help. Congratulations again!

I hope very much to complie several video lessons on MF Pro in the nearest future, so that more participants could take part in the next competition.

But again, the level of the triggers we were testing proves that putting a good strategy into commands and formulae is quite feasible.
