Going bonkers with win/place linking - Please help

I want to remember some selections in the Win market at say 3 minutes before the off. Then at 1 minute before the off I need to determine one selection from the Win market based on various conditions at that time and also that involve the remembered selections.. At this point I again remember this ONE selection in the Win market. At say twenty seconds before the off, I would like to back this one remembered selection in the PLACE market.

I have tried setting a User Variable with the name, or sel_id or sel_index of the one selection remembered in the win market but can't ever seem to back a selection in the place market using this user variable.

I'm attaching my 4 triggers. I have included a trigger that actually places a back bet (in the Win market) on the one selection remembered so it is easier to see what is  going on in my test statement. The conditions I have used for the testing are fairly simplistic. At 3 minutes before the off I just remember all those selections whose back price is greater than 6. At 1 min before the off I choose (from these original selections) the one that has the minimum back price.The actual conditions I want to use are more complex than this, but this example should show the problems I am getting with my win/place linkages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm going round in circles and I won't have any hair left soon!!!

you have come across one of mfp error's
just change the and selections name is equal to myvar, in your place bet trigger
to
and trigger expression  sel_name is equal to myvar
for some unknown reason mfp looks at names in a different way

Thanks for reply McBee but this seems not to work either. These are results I got. Myvar got set to Milarrow but the trigger with "Trigger Expression sel_name is equal to myvar" is still false and no place bets are placed.
