Hi.

I have found a stake plan that is called Multi-Link Doubles plan on http://www.professional-racing-tips.com/StakingPlanPages/MultiLink.aspx and started to try this.
This is basically used in back bets but I tried to use it on the lay side and it work pretty well.
But I cant figure out how to make the triggers.
What I want to do is place lay bet as following:
Race 1: 5% of start bank
Race 2: 4% of start bank
Race 3: 3% of start bank
Race 4: 2% of start bank
Race 5: 1% of start bank
Race 6: 0% of start bank
When this is completed it will start over again.
When a loss occurs, lets say in race 2 and the loss is £8 I want to divide the loss with the races that is left in this session, like 8/4= 2 and rise the bet size for the following races.

The loss recover looks like this:
Start bank £100.

Race 1: Bet size 5 Price 3,5 Won 4,75
Race 2: Bet size 4 Price 3 Lost 8
Race 3: Bet size 8/4=2+3= 5 Price 3,75 Won 4,75
Now we deduct 4,75 from 8 = 3,25 and divide it with the remaining races = 1,08.
Race 4: Bet size 2+2+1,08 = 5,08 Price 2,55 Won 4,83
Now the losses is recovered so the bets continue:
Race 5: 1+2+1,08 = 4,08 Price 3,3 Won £3,88
Race 6:  2+1,08 = 3,08 Price 3,2 Won 2,93
Whenever the loss occurs you will divide it with the remaining races and when you win you will deduct the whole win amount from the losses and divide the remaining loss amount with the races left.
If a loss occurs in race 6 this loss is ignored and you start a new session.
Any help with this will be highly appreciated.

I might try making the triggers for this plan, but!

The plan described on the page you referred to is somewhat different: it adds up the winnings, not the losses. Do you think by changing the original conditions you make it as successful as it was?

Yes, I know it´s  intended for back staking in the beginning but i have tried this for a couple of days with lay bets and it works fine. I also have back testing it with good results.
Maybe the percent of the starting bank should be lower so the losses don’t carry away to much. However, if a loss occurs in the fifth race there could be a high liability (loss) in the last race so it could be a good idea not to try to recover the loss from the fifth race, just take the (eventually) loss.

I've just made a new trigger example after the original article that you mentioned in your post. I realise you need something quite the opposite, but I will work on that one within the next several days.

Thanks Oxa
You are one of a kind. What should we do without you. I´ll run this one and i´ll see forward to the one for the lay bets.
By the way, for the lay bets it works best in placemarkets where the price is low, preferable below 2.
Thanks again.

Hi Oxa

I tried this trigger yesterday twice.  In test mode it only made one bet, the first one.

Have you or anybody else had a problem with it?

Thanks

Darren, did you settle the market after placing the first bet?

Hi Oxa

Do you mean have I got the 'Settle Finished Markets Automatically' option ticked?  Which I have.  Or am I missing something obvious.

I will try it again today in test mode using a previous example of laying favs in the place market.  I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks

What does the trigger log file put as a reason for not placing the bet?

HI Oxa

I'm still unsure about this one.  Ive attached the log as requested.  Not that it shows much.  I started the triger at 1.15pm and the first bet was placed straight away in the 16.30 race.

It then recorded the 14.10 result the nothing appears.

I'm stumped, though its probably something straight forward.  Can you sprinkle some Oxa magic on this one  Wink

Darren, you've attached an action log file, not the log file for the laying trigger. The latter will open if you click on the "Log File" button for the laying trigger in the "Triggers" window.

Is this the correct file?
