Hi,
Perhaps someone could back me up on this one.  I keep testing triggers, getting errors, correcting them getting errors, and then find that it is things I have sorted before.

For example - does anyone else get this?  I pick a trigger for Set User Variable, uncheck the box "Individually for each market".  Later on, after development,  if I copy and paste the development trigger into another block of working triggers, and it stops working properly and I find all these statements become checked again.

Is it just me ?

Thanks

Hi Alfaman,

with cut and paste, the check box is "Individually for each market" is unmarked after paste, and the "keep in-play" changed to "cancel" .

For me this is a feature, which forces me to check all triggers and blocks again and again and again before using it with real funds. An almost every time I check a trigger for this obvious errors, I find some additional errors in trigger file so that I am happy that MFPro forces me to check changes trigger files very often.... I am wondering if this is why some people find library triggers not working.  If you download someone elses trigger and paste it into a block of your own you expect it to be as the author intended - there is no way to check their intentions.

If these boxes have changed obviously the trigger will not work as intended.

Is this possible ?

So the problem is that two trigger fields don't get pasted exactly as they were copied.

Understood, will be corrected in the next update.

Update:
Ahem, I was too fast to confirm this without even looking in the program. It turned out that if I copy & paste a block, it does paste everything correctly, i.e. it keeps the persistence settings and ticks "Individually for each market".

So can you attach your trigger file so that I could try to reproduce the problem?

Hi,

I found this recently with the 'set individually for each market' checkbox on some downloaded triggers. They seemingly re-checked themselves.

Oxa,

I think you can recreate the problem for yourself.  Open your recent trigger example, lay-low-rating.xml,  one "Individually for Each Market " is unchecked and two are checked.

Then click copy at the top of the block, click paste block from the top menu, and now you have two copies in one block but the second copy has all three boxes checked. (well it does for me and I know it does for others too).

Thanks

Alfaman

Your not going mad I get the same issue - it also happens in conditions as well

I find that I have to save my triggers then re-open them then go through every trigger and condition again to make sure things like individually for each market aren't checked.

It is annoying and did cause some horrible blunders in testing until I realised what it was - now I check and re-check
