condition problem
« on: Sat, 19 February, 2011, 10:02 »
Hi All

I have a condition set "previous triggered events outcome is settled" but although the previous event is settled its returning as false. In settings i  have "delete settled events automatically" unchecked and download results from betfair" checked. Any help please.

Hi mcbee

I am using it in test at the moment in conjunction with loss recoupment. Your saying it is slow, it will not trigger for hours, then i have to remove it, to get the triggers to fire. I have tried closing and reopening MFP, to try to reset, but that doesnt help.

hi
when using recovery with last info required, it is quicker and safer to use the hist_count .
what you have to do is set a user variable trigger to record the history counts, with the condition, trigger or trigger block (your betting trigger name) has been executed.
then you add a condition to your betting trigger to only bet if the history count is greater than the recorded count, this way the bet will only activate if the last pl has been updated.

Hi mcbee,

Brillant, thank you for your help.
Would it be to much to ask if you could run me through the procedure in simple terms.
I have got as far as; New trigger    set user variable     name hist_count
with condition, trigger or trigger block +++++++++++++ has been executed
not too far really
thanks again

hi
you cannot name the trigger hist count because hist count is already used, name it hc.

set user variable            hc                   hist_count
(the market that you are betting in)                favourite (this is for activation only)
not in play (or in play if thats your bet)              history counter
once per market
conditions
and trigger or trigger block   (the name of your betting trigger)   has been executed.

then in your betting trigger add the condition
and trigger expression           hist_count        is greater than      hc

this means if the history is added to, then the bet will be placed and the hc will become the hist count, but if no results then the history count will be the same as hc so no bet.
