I have tried using this condition to make the trigger Dutch the two prices as opposed to placing two separate bets.  In addition to the trigger you supplied I have also tried the Lay two selections below 2.0  with the winplace condition.

I want to lay an amount onto the favourite in both markets to still win a small amount if only one them wins.
Would the condition of combined odds of less than 3.9 by another way of achieving this?

you can't dutch 2 seperate markets, you'll have to have a seperate trigger for both markets...
