armarni, but isn't the date already stated in the top-right corner of the statement page, as each date has its own page appointed?
I, (and I think a lot of people) trial different strategies by using different bet amounts so they can keep track of which test strategies are working and which aren't. This means every day you have lots of results which need entering into a spreadsheet eg all the bets that where placed at £2.01, all the bets that where placed at £2.02 etc.
If you do this each day religiously then that's fine, but if you have a few days or weeks worth of results to enter at once then without the date in the time column, you have no way of sorting all the results by date, as in the statements the date info is buried in each races name and any sorting of that column sorts by course name, not date.
As an example, lets say you have 10 days worth of results to put into the spreadsheet. Without a date column each days results would have to be entered individually to keep them in chronological order, which if you're testing 40 strategies means entering 40 results per day, eg all the £2.01 bets from day 1, all the £2.01 bets from day 2 etc. However, if you can sort the different bet amounts by date, then you can merge all the csv statement files and enter all the results for each bet amount at once eg all the £2.01 bets from the 10 days in date order, all the £2.02 bets from the 10 days in date order etc, speeding up the data input immensely.
How I proceed at the moment is I add a column to each days statement with the date in, so each entry has a date cell in front of it. I then merge all the statement csv files that need entering into my results spreadsheet and can then sort the individual bet strategies in date order (eg all the £2.01 bets in date order, all the £2.02 bets in date order etc).
Adding the date column manually is what I ve been doing for the last few years, but when you have 30 days worth of previous results to add to the spreadsheet it's labourious and adds a lot of extra work to the process, and it's frustrating as the date used to be in the time column in version 6, so I was just hoping it could be reinstated.
