I decided I would go live and not use the Test Mode. Unfortunately, despite several attempts, I was unable to reduce my minimum stake to the BetFair level of £ 2. I changed the amount in the "betting options" part of "settings" but, although this displays £ 2, an open market continues to show £4 as the default stake.

I have altered the settings and restarted MFP a few times.

nigelbleddfa1, the default settings have no effect on the markets that are already open. You may choose to apply them manually by selecting the markets in the My Markets list, right-clicking on them and choosing "Apply Default Settings".

I haven't explained myself properly. I tried altering the default stake to the minimum of £2 by altering the settings and it did not work. My settings say default stake is £2 and I save this. Now, after I shut down the program and reopen it, the default stake is £ 4.

Very strange thing just seen - two simple triggers show that they are being applied to two different races even though only one market. I'll try to reproduce this and get back.

Update:

- fixed the issue with the events tree not showing anything after Special Bets
- fixed the number of places missing from place markets in the header

The setup file has been updated on the server.

Other strange thing - I selected both English and Irish win markets in the market locator and they loaded properly. I shut down my computer and restarted it. This time I only selected the English win markets, nevertheless BOTH Irish and English win markets were placed in "My Markets" as though the locator was not refreshing.

Did you tick the "Clear My Markets first" box before adding the markets the second time?

No, I didn't. In version 7 I was able to switch my computer off and make a fresh start when I switched it on again. Does Version 8 retain the markets even though it has been switched off, please ? Is this new because things worked differently before for me ?

The issue relating to default betting stakes seems to have resolved itself now. The default stake shown on an open market now corresponds with that shown on the "betting options" page of "settings". I have no idea why things did not work at the first few attempts made earlier.

Yes, it retains My Markets unless you tick "Delete events on exit", but I'm afraid this is how it used to be in the previous version too.

Thanks. I didn't realise that this was the case previously as I always stuck to my original markets - I would keep both Irish and English markets open or else only the English ones. I experimented with version 8 in a way I never did with version 7

My other "errors" were probably due to me not saving my changes to settings properly, possibly not allowing time for changes to be saved.

Greyhound win markets settled P/L sometimes showed 0 when it was positive or negative, and sometimes showed correct.

Hi Oxa,
I have just installed Windows Server 2008 and MFP, however I cannot log into BetFair via the secure browser. The page goes blank.
For the record, as yet I haven't installed anti virus software.
Can MFP run on this OS ?
