  •  have just installed Windows Server 2008 and MFP, however I cannot log into Betfair via the secure browser. The page goes blank.
For the record, as yet I haven't installed anti virus software.
Can MFP run on this OS ?

    Hi Oxa,
Problem fixed. I turned off the Internet Explorer Security Enhancement function.
It is a serious bit of security and a pain in the arm :)
    Cheers

  • racepro, thanks for sharing, I'll add this bit to the knowledge base.
At least now you can immediately see if BetFair is available to you, as the login page is the real web page on their web site.

  • Greyhound win markets settled P/L sometimes showed 0 when it was positive or negative, and sometimes showed correct.
Could you attach some screenshots for the relevant markets when it happens again, please?

  • Hi Oxa
I can't start in Time Machine Mode, no problems in Real Time Mode.

    Select TM mode
    Select TM profile
    Login to Betfair

    Mini-browser closes leaving Windows desktop
feeder8.exe shows in task manager for about 15 seconds and then disappears

    Fully uninstalled and re-installed
Antivirus, DEP, firewall exceptions all added, computer restarted
    Run as administrator
    Lowered IE security settings

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

  • Update:

Fixed a bug in parsing arithmetic expressions.
Fixed an issue with determining market places in Time Machine.

The setup file is updated on the server.

Any more feedback? We've only got time till the beginning of November to remove all the bugs you'll report.   ;)

  • I've been away for the weekend so am only starting to test today Oxa.  I'm going to run vers 8 next to vers 7 on todays horses with identical triggers to compare (but vers 8 at minimum odds just in case!).

Running vers 8 and 7 at the same time shouldnt take me over the request limit in my understanding of the new api, is that right?  I never go over the limit running vers 7 on its own, but I know that I sail pretty close to the wind on it, so if vers 8 requests counted at all I know that running them both at the same time would send me well over my limit!

So far I only noted a few things:

    1. the new market locator has removed todays card as an option to load all the days races.
    2. missing having the place markets having the word (place) after them in the old api so that they could be idenitifed in the list more easily.

I have a question on Betting Options settings.  Now that the api limits have been removed is it better to update the bets individually for each market or not?

  • Thanks armarni, let me comment on this.

It shouldn't present any problem, as they are connected to two different data sources.

The events tree is somewhat different in the new API.
You can have almost the same result if you tick the regular horse races and choose up to 1 day ahead.

    2. missing having the place markets having the word (place) after them in the old api so that they could be idenitifed in the list more easily.

It is now replaced with To Be Placed, isn't it? Should we go back to (Place), anyone?

Definitely better to update them individually. That is, in fact, the default option now.
