  • Hi there

    I have a system where I back 2 horses in a race.

My total stake per race is £100.00 or (100%)

I place £70.00 (70%) on the shorter odds of the 2 selections and £30.00 (30%) on the larger odds Selections.

I take the odds at 1 minute before the race being off.

How would I create a trigger to ....

    1. Determine which was the shorter odds at a pre-set time

    2. Place £70.00 (70%) on the shorter odds of the 2 selections

    3. Place £30.00 (30%) on the larger odds Selections

    any help would be appreciated

  • Dobbin,

which 2 horses do you want to back? If is is favourite and second favourite, your trigget  is very easy. Just a back bet with 70 on fav and a back bet with 30 on second fav. No need to determine shorter odds, in this case.

  • Hi MartinSteiner

My 2 selections may be any odds in the race.

They are very seldom the Fav

Do you mean that if the odds of my 2 selections were 15.00 and 25.00

It would determine that the odds of 15.00 were the Fav of my selections

  • Dobbin,

If I understand correctly, and you already have conditions prepared to pick your two selections, then if you make the trigger action "Dutch Back" and put £100 in the
"amount to lose" box, that should do it for you.

  • Hi alfaman

    Thank you for your reply

I am new to this and might appear to be a bit thick. LOL

I Import my Selections for the races I am interested in.

    Today for instance

    Uttoxeter   12:30 Chamirey    Predictive
    Uttoxeter   1:05 Sullumo    Midnight Chase
Wetherby   1:10 Candle   Along Came Rosie
    Wetherby   1:45 Deuteronomy    Pistol Basc

I then want to create a trigger to Back £70.00 on the Shorter odds and £30.00 on the larger odd of my 2 selections.

The Trigger would have to decide which of the 2 selections was the shorter odds within 2 minutes of the race being off and then place the bets.

I was looking for an example trigger to modify and  use but could not find one.

Everything seems to be geared to a Lay bet.

    thanks for any help

  • dobbin,

I did not check if this works well, so try it in test mode first:

Trigger File has 2 Back bets, executed only once per market.

Back Bet with shorter odds (=stake 70) has  condition:

    selections back price is minimum

Bet with higher odds (=stake 30) has  condition:

    selections back price is maximum.

As there are only 2 selections enabled for auto trading due to your import, and minimum and maximum is restricted to selections enabled for auto trading, this might work for you.

But you should add additional conditions to forbid the trigger to enter a bet in a "strange" market. At least

markets Back Book % is less than 101,
and Every Selections back amount sis greater than 70

should be added in BOTH trigger actions.
