Automated loading of selections
« on: 09 Jan 2013, 16:00 »
I have created an application to select football matches in which to place bets according to set criteria/ triggers.

I don't want to be manually loading this data into MarketFeeder every day, is there any way I can automate the process through the command line or an API for MarketFeeder?

Hi
Just to clarify, Market Locator and Scheduler does not do the job you want?
If not, are you are aware of the “is in file” Comparison Operator. The only problem is that it is not a fully automated process. The following topic gives some more info on this: http://community.welldonesoft.com/triggered-betting-10/constantly-updating-list-of-horses/
I believe the only other way at the moment is a macro recorder.
Please read the following disclaimer with regards to the information you may request and obtain on our forum. This specifically concerns trigger files and various instructions as to how to implement a strategy.

Hi MarkV,

Thanks for that reply. The scheduler looks like it will do the trick, at least for the simple stuff I'm going to initially try.

I have not tried the software yet, I've gone through some of the manual and it looks like MarketFeeder does everything else I want, I just didn't see the bit on the scheduler.

I could develop an app to place bets using the BetFair API, but would rather pay someone else to maintain and test that code and hopefully do a better job than I could.

I'll give this a try later on today. I guess I'm just excited on how things will work out.
