  • Hi,

  • Why is the commission differentiated between countries, does anyone know or have an idea ?

  • They're trying to milk the users again. I just wish they have the decency to give out at least a reason for those changes.

  • In my opinion betfair don't have the same risk as ordinary bookmaker. I read the report from Unibet and if I remember there profit last year in sports betting where ~ 7 %. An ordinary bookie have the risk of not being balanced.

  • Hi Tupp and all,
I think the difference in commissions between countries may be related to what percentage tax Betfair needs to pay in each country.
I'm only guessing this may be the case. Perhaps the Betfair community has an answer.

  • Hi,
As far as I know betfair has no licenece for online betting in my country. However, its services are let's say tolerated because we belong to EU countries. So they pay no taxes and things like that.
