Configuring auto place bets from text file
« on: 14 Aug 2016, 11:10 »
Hello, I have daily selection for greyhounds in a text file and I want to import them to Marketfeeder. And the the bot must dutch the selections for each race. Its really a hard job doing this manually for each race.

My selections are in this form:

BELLE VUE
11.01 (1-2-3)
11.28 (3-2-1)

CRAYFORD
11.01 (1(Nap)-2-3)
11.21 (1(nb)-2-3)

After reading the bots manual, I have no idea how to configure the text file, can you please help me?

Thanks

EDIT: 1,2,3 are the dogs number for each race.

Hi
You need the selection name to be able to import selections. Please see the attached screenshot, includes:
a sample format of a text file to use for importing greyhound selections, use the Import selections for auto-trading procedure
an example trigger to dutch back the imported selections, you would of course do the dutch just before the start, this is just a test of the trigger.

So there is no way to place the bets if I only have the trap number? I can only place them if I have the dogs name?

Hi
Yes, to import selections you need the selection name.

The only other way I can think of, and this is just a thought and I just tested it ok on a horse racing market:

You update one named text file with the three trap numbers (selection indexes) in time for the trigger to read the file say 30 secs before the off. You would need a mechanism to update the text file (or copy it with the next one for the next market)

txt file format:
1
2
4

TRIGGER
dutch back
all matching selections
condition: selections index is in file <path to .txt file>
