Strange goings on in the 4.15pm at Goodwood today

Hi,

Who is the person putting up £1500 @ 1000:1 odds in the 4.15pm at Goodwood today. Does he/she know 110% that this horse has no chance. Looks very suspect to me.

Horse was withdrawn at 9.28am this morning and was called "Mary Ann Bugg". Weird.

You see this quite often.  Someone in the know I guess.  If they think the real chance of it winning is less than one in a thoushand then those are good odds to lay at.  (I prssume it was a lay that you are tlking about).

It's gotta be an effort to affect prices of others in the race. Otherwise, where's the point?
