Tennis Trading
« on: 08 Apr 2015, 12:36 »
Hi,

Does anyone trade Tennis ?

I was watching a game last night and the back book% was often > 125% and the difference between the favourites back and lay price was > 10 ticks.

Seems like a good opportunity for sending lay bets and greenup ?

Any thoughts ?

Cheers.

Hi
Yes interesting idea but I think you need to consider the in-play betting delay imposed by Betfair and also those traders who have fast pictures. You can set Test Mode delay to 5 or 6 seconds and give it a try?

Yes, currently my in-play test mode delay is set to 3 seconds.

Is there a reason the book% was going from 103.5 to 137.00 back and fourth ?

Was it because of low liquidity or something ?

It was a men's doubles match.

Cheers,

Hi
Of course every match is different, but there are key points in a game or set which will see more money. For example a break of serve set point etc.

Wouldn't have thought there was any liquidity in a doubles match. ;)

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
