- USELESS SOFTWARE - full of bugs.

Well, I think from all my heart that this is an useless software full of bugs. I download it trial and all I can say its this :

1. eats all your memory ! (I have 4 gb 80% eaten by this software )your pc will go back to 486 altho you may have core2duo or even quad core !

2. Full of stupid bugs like :  Reading and understanding the PDF help file its a mess , you must be born in UK to understand all those more coded language then simple as pretented when promoting , and master advanced software knowledgement  ! been so complicated we have :froozen windows , can't move trigger windows , text fails to see it right with error lines inside ,triggers fail,delay in placing bets , log files takes abaut 100mb each day for one single bot !

You know I 'am a lifetime trader and I was stupid to think that I can put my ideas into this software but its just impossible as the price movements in real life  can't be catched by any bot like this one .


Mail reply from support takes 7 days with answears like : read the  help file.

Compared to some other software (for example Firefox with just 2 pages opened) MF Pro uses less memory. Please try to open 10-20 tabs in, let's say, Internet Explorer and see how much memory it will take. There are also a couple of advices on our site as to the number of markets refreshed simultaneously and how to reduce the load on your computer's resources. (one, two)

I can't see how a big help file can be considered a stupid bug. But you are probably right - the help file and the software in general are complicated for a first time user and needs some time to understand. That's why we offer 2 weeks of a free trial.

We ourselves have not been born in UK.  The coded language is a must because the software is aimed to be flexible and capable of coding any trading strategy. Yes, there are a lot of simple bots on the market that only perform a limited number of predefined strategies and may be easier to operate.

The log files are there to help you tune up your triggers. You may switch them off if you don't need them (chapter "Triggered Betting" -> "Trigger Log Files" of the manual).

 Ive never had a problem with it eating memory , I cover all uk horse racing 4 second
 refresh

 For a one off payment I think its a bargain , Its paid for itself quite a few times over

 Ive always found them a helpful bunch , when you email or ask for help on here
 I do belive they're busy people coping with a lot of requests and updates , hence
 a few days getting back to you

 Its worthwhile putting in a bit of time , starting with basic triggers

Well i must say that PROPOLIS you are too unfair with this software. Except for the memory issue(sorry OXA but is has some strange issues there) it is really amazing software. I have tested almost every commercial software and my belief is that is by far the best. Ofcourse i have some programming knowledge and i find it easy to setup triggers also there is a very helpful community out there. 8)

I am a user and not connected with MF Pro, but your post is so full of spelling errors and imprecision of expression that I'm not surprised that the rather well written PDF manual is beyond your comprehension. I can't believe that you were a trader, other than in a fruit and vegetable market. It shouldn't need stating, but you have to read the manual carefully with a certain amount of intelligence and refer back to it as necessary before any meaningful appreciation of the software is achieved. You may be disappointed to have discovered that it is not a quick and lazy license to print money.

You know, the more I read this forum , the more problems ,bugs I found abaut this software . If it was just me it was fine , but I see important members of this comunity that complain abaut VERY IMPORTANT bugs that can cost people money .

* Here you can find 3,4 seconds delay from this software when placing horse inplay bets : http://community.marketfeederpro.com/troubleshooting-8/serious-problem-with-timestamps!!!/ . Was posted one month ago and no reply or solution yet !

* Here we have some greyhounds load problems costing people money : http://community.marketfeederpro.com/troubleshooting-8/new-bug-discovered-another-warning/   . The same no reply /help for half month.


* Another problem with settle time here : http://community.marketfeederpro.com/troubleshooting-8/settle-time-not-shown-in-my-test-account-statement-records/  . Very important but no solution fro support.

One of the biggest problems I think is api reqest settings. Altho we limite this to let's say 10 ,if you run more markets in same time that settings have no effect to limit data ,allowing more data ,that way been charged by betfair.

And there is more ,just read troubleshooting.
All this problems unsolved can cost people money.
I have nothing personal with welldone team,all I need is to see solving people's problems.

Thank you for pointing to the troubles, propolis.

Yes, MF pro has bugs as well as any other software. And yes we accept that our bugs may cost people money.

Unfortunately our support department looks into the forum very rarely. That's why there is a link in the top of each page saying where the bugs should be posted to. By the way some of our clients prefer to post bugs into BetFair community (!) instead of sending them directly to us.

Our support will answer the topics you mentioned but with half an eye they are MF pro settings problems but not bugs.

Stillout, fair enough, if it has issues with memory, I'm supposed to tackle them, so don't be sorry for pointing that out.

That's actually what I'm working on right now. If you could email support and give them some ideas as to how to witness the memory problems you're encountering, you would make such a big contribution!

Very much depends on configuring your operating system properly.  I used to have similar difficulties until I found out I had a configuration conflict between the motherboard´s LAN capabilities and an additional card where I connected the internet cable. 

I also schedule antivirus scans and the like at times when MFP is not running,  I try to leave all the room for MFP.

So far I have encountered some problems but I have been able to overcome them.  Also a powerful PC and a fast DSL line help.

All in all I am very happy,  nothing comes close to MFP.

I couldn't agree more!

The software is beyond amazing continuous life support updates bargain price.

It's something you can't find anywhere else - can only wish I found this years ago.

Before sounding off in the forum and calling MFP "stupid buggy software" propolis should ask how this stupid buggy software could survive in the market place for so long? Of course it couldn't and it isn't (buggy that is). I would suggest that the stupidity is in the user rather than the software! The well written PDF manual is aimed primarily for the English speaking market, it is a complex subject and as Propolis has a very basic grasp of English it's not surprising he has problems understanding it. Criticising the manual because you can't understand English is the height of stupidity.
Buggy software? Not in my, admittedly short, experience.  Several months ago I did a 14day test of MFP alongside BetAngel Professional, I went with BetAngel after much deliberation but I am coming back to MFP (nothing wrong with BetAngel, just not quite what I want). However the point is that during the 14day fairly exhaustive test  I had no software problems at all. It's now running quite happily on a single core 3.5GHz Athlon, 4GHz memory and Windows 7, add to that a far from ideal internet connection of 1.6MBs average. There is quite likely something amiss with the computer Propolis is using, viruses, trojans, rootkits or any of the multitude of malware waiting for the unwary. Apart from that no one should lose money as everyone has the huge advantage of exhaustively testing their betting systems and the software before committing one penny of their hard earned. My suggestion to Propolis is to clean up his computer, check all running tasks and terminate the unnecessary ones, get a proper translation of the manual then come back and apologise to the MFP development team!
Now for some facts ........
Today - 6 Markets open and active CPU load +2% memory usage + 5% (total memory used 33%)
