VPS Security
« on: 17 Apr 2019, 09:16 »
Morning all

I was just wondering what people’s thoughts were in using a VPS for their MFP systems?

I don’t yet have a profitable system but am testing some ideas at the moment and am considering a VPS.

I am thinking though if I do find a profitable trigger it would be extremely easy for the server host to literally copy my triggers and place the bets themselves?

I just wondered for anyone with a profitable system, do you use a VPS?

Thanks

Been using VPS for 3 years, had no problems with security of any bots.   The server is password protected and of course MFP is not allowed to store its password and username on the platform.   It is recommend to change the server password after initial setup as the provider will then have no record of it.

In additional if you don't trust your provider you can set up a small encrypted partition to keep your triggers. Then even when your provider completely copy your hard drive it'll not be able to read the disk without a password.
But it's better to trust your provider. Use our service ;)
