  • We're working on adding the extra information on horses in some races. These data are sometimes referred to as "Jockey silks", and can include the trainer's and jockey's names, the age and weight of the horse, when it last ran etc. You can see some of this info on BetFair web site.

So my question is: how would you like to use these data in triggers (apart from seeing it on screen)? I am trying to find the most efficient way of addressing these parameters in trigger conditions.

So if you would like to operate the silks info somehow, please suggest the way to do this, and I will be glad to consider your opinion in the new update.

  • I sometimes need to know whether a horse is male or female, and its official rating. If you could add that info to trigger conditions, it would be great.

  • You may already be planning this, would you be able to set a trigger that would lay every horse with a certain jockey or trainer?

  • Vorrei vedere il "Form" e decifrare i valori all'interno. Grazie!

  • I attach a screen dump of the info I think you are referring to.  Perhaps we could have variables called Jockey, Trainer, Age Weight, Form_[digit from right], Days since last ran.

then you could write a trigger such as :

    Back, Any Selection if:

    Jockey contains Eaves
    And
    Age > 2
    And
Days since last ran < 10
    And
Form_1 < 3 (ie better than third last time out)

    etc
    etc

Is this what you meant ?

Yes, that is what I mean. All that info will be available.

    Yes, it'll be possible.

Will you also be able to back last winning jockey in his/her next race?

E.g. if Eaves won the race then back his next ride that day?

That's an excellent idea, and is exactly why I'm asking everyone's advice here! Will make sure this is possible.

  • Any other suggestions here?
This is an opportunity to ask for any new function related to the silks, as I'm willing to add as much silks-related features as possible.

E' urgente inserire il colore delle maglie per poter seguire i fantini durante le corse live, oltre i miei suggerimenti già comunicati sopra. ;)

  • Guys, can anyone tell me what "f", "g" and "c" means in horse's sex classification?

Feel a bit ashamed of myself, but couldn't find this info anywhere!
I guess "f" might be "female", but the rest puzzles me a lot!
