Cheers,

Yes, Graham, of course it is possible, but you can use it in million ways. What exactly are you interested in, like what particular functionality?

Hi Oxa,

Basically I have a spreadsheet that I can input a set of ratings or a set of forecast prices converted to percentage chance and want to compare these to the actual back prices.
Then with a trigger expression comparing the ratings to the back prices would back (or possibly lay) on the selection with the maximum value or selections higher than a predefined value.

That can be done through custom cells.

Have you already read the corresponding chapter of the help file, called "Importing Selection Data From a Sheet"? It's got an example how to do it. If there are any nuances that will stay unclear after that, we'll help you with our collective wits!

Couldn't import the selections as program couldn't find the sheet I had named.

I will try again.

I thought it might be good to see an example as it would maybe highlight where I am going wrong or even give other ideas.

Hi Gee-M,

Please make sure that the Excel sheet where your have created your own data, is in the same book to which Excel is connected to.

Let's say MFpro is connected to book1 and your sheet is stored in mybook thank MFpro will not find your sheet.

You can insert for example a new sheet to the book where MFPro is connected to (that one that also shows all the markets after you launch Excel). Probably the name of the new sheet is something like Sheet1 or Sheet2 etc.

Then copy the data from your original sheet and paste it to the newly inserted sheet.

After that try to import selections from a sheet (via Settings - Excel) again and make sure that your right the letters for range with capital letters and also output starting column should be a capital letter.

Also the sheet name must be correctly specified.

And yes, don't forget to load the relevant markets, too.

Try it again and let us know whether you can get it to work.

Cheers,

Thanks for the thorough drill on this bamthwok!

I had problems with importing custom cells as well, and exactly because I was keeping several workbooks open at a time and had it connected to the wrong book.

So what I do now is: 1) Open the sheet where I store the data. 2) Open MF Pro and press "Launch Excel". Don't do it in the opposite order, or a new sheet will be created.
