  • I need to compare the prices of the best bookmakers with betfair. I can only do this manually, and this isn't an option. Can you not add an optional box next to each horse showing the best odds available, or alternatively odds from one bookmaker. Is this feasable?

    Any other comments from anyone?

  • If you think you will gain any advantage by this forget it!

By the time bookie odds are updated and published the Betfair market has moved five times.

  • Ok.

I would recommend trying to get the bookie odds into excel and comparing from there.

It will be far easier then trying go them into MF.

  • How to get the bookie odds into Excel? I would need an Excel sheet that always shows the bookie odds for the next race. Once a race has started it must switch automatically to the next race.

Or better, if one could always monitor the next 3 races.

Any suggestion which website might be workable to extract the needed data to Excel?

  • You can try importing an xml feed to excel

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/how-to-use-xml-in-excel-2003-HA001101964.aspx

lots of bookies offer xml odds feed.

    good luck.

  • I managed to import bookie odds to Excel via William Hill free XML feed. By using custom cells I can compare betfair odds with bookie odds in triggers.

That will do the job, but of course it would be more user friendly to have a selection variable "bookie_odds"....
