  • Hi,

can the market names be made the same for Test Statements, Real Statements and Place markets please?

Real statements have / GB / or / IRE / in the market name and Test statements don't.  The position of the race time is also different.  My request is to keep the Test format and make Real one the same.

Also, why don't place market bets have the race information in them?

    Examples of current formats:

    Real:
    Horse Racing / GB / Leic 10th Dec/ 13:40 2m Sell Hrd

    Test:
    Horse Racing / Dundalk / 21:10 Dund 10th Dec 1m4f Hcap - 1m4f Hcap

    Place:
Horse Racing / Dundalk / 21:10 Dund 10th Dec To Be Placed - To Be Placed

    regards

    Wez

  • hi
mfp can only use the information provided by betfair, they only give the full market desription for the win markets.

  • you can use winplace_market_name to reference the main market details if that helps

  • Thanks for the replies guys but perhaps I need to be more explicit in my coded suggestions!

I use the winplace prefix in my triggers, but I don't see how that helps in the generation of statements (other than coding a "write to log" which tries to duplicate what MFP already does plus some).

What I was alluding to was whilst I now appreciate MFP only (currently) uses the info as supplied via the API, could MFP add/append the win market info into the place market info when generating the statement?

I run two profiles daily.  One in Test, one in Real.  Statements are loaded into Excel daily for analysis.  Because the real mode instance places real bets, the equivalent trigger in the test instance doesn't and hence there's no entry in the test statement.  Therefore I merge (manually) the test and real statements.  I have all manner of excel formulae that extract info from the market name (type of race, distance) in the statement.  Great for win markets but hopeless for place markets because that info isn't in the place market statement entry!

So is it not possible for MFP to correlate the win and place markets info and therefore put additional info from the win market statement into the corresponding place market statement entry?  The winplace prefix suggests to me it is possible if the will to do so is there  :o

    Cheers!

  • I think there might just be a time in the future that this would be possible I think but for now, I can't think of anything.
