MFP Improvements and comparisons
« on: 15 Dec 2010, 14:03 »
 Hi Tim/Les/Oxa

PLEASE incorporate a Sort by PRICES options for all markets and not by what Betfair
presents for all markets.  This is important because in Australia, all horse racing
markets are sorted by Betfair, by Saddlecloth numbers.

This makes a huge inconsisentcy between Australia and UK racing markets and is a necessity for scalping fast and easily.

This "Sort" option is standard for "A Geek's Toy" (AGT) which operates at lightening-fast speeds with multiple charting and has no problems in sorting Australian horse racing markets by price.

Is it possible to have user-configurable parameters for charting as well, where those
parameters can be accessed by triggers?  For example at present, MFP provides just one charting parameter (MA) with very little support documentation on it. In comparison, AGT has Advanced Charting whose charts are user-selectable with a vast choice available between Bollinger Bands, Candlesticks with slow and fast MAs for each.

Whoever combines the lightening lightening ladder speed and multiple
tradaing chart displays of AGT with the great triggering options of MFP would have the ultimate.  No racing program has MACD lines and MACDH which when interpreted properly, give the best indiction of a reversal of trend.

Finally, these charting options and many, many more are available with the cheapest/free stockmarket trading packages (Ninja and Amibroker(amazing)).  These are geared to accepting live feeds from the stock exchanges with execution of orders via specific brokers.

I'm sure that if we put a man-on-the-moon, a suitable "plug-in" can be written in C++ or .net (Amibroker) to interface betfair with these packages and then create the ULTIMATE horse racing INTEGRATED package!!  Then, no further need to:
S-T-R-U-G-G-L-E with Excel and VB to chart in real time!!

Every package I've mentioned has its fantastic strengths...so How about it guys? !!!

And no.,, I'm not an MFP "newbie" but a seasoned lifetime licence holder ;););););););)

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
