  • I have just read somewhere that the minimum api refresh rate is 0.2 (200ms), can MFPro please allow us to go this low ... currently restricted to 0.3 (300ms).

  • Is this going in??

It's a simple change and an easy yes or no.

  • It's not as simple as it seems. Have you considered the request limit that you will probably reach more often should you refresh at a rate of 0.2 sec. With more than one market refreshing at the same time this rate will be hard to maintain.  :-\

  • Oxa I have considered it, and would still personally kind of like to have the option, especially since it allowed by Betfair and other API platforms have it. Of course I might just be fooling myself in to thinking that 100ms will make a difference. Currently I am set at 0.3 and MFP is a pretty lean mean machine .. the highest I have seen was 12-13 request per second with 4 markets (2 win + 2 place) running concurrently @0.3 refresh rate.

Having a V12 4L Turbo car might result in you going over the speed limit from time to time (never mind the petrol{bandwidth}), but it's a big advantage from a standing start kind of thing.

Can't object to that. We'll see what we can do. Still weighing the possible complications it might incur when users not knowing anything about request limits overdoo it upong the first launch of the program and complain to the support about a bill from BetFair.

  • hi
the simple answer is, have a pop up box when below say .5 refresh, with a warning that you are entering betfair charges area.

  • McBee is spot on having a pop-up like you do from "Test" to "Real mode" is the solution. :)

I'm still surprised people can use these settings (0.2/s) must either have a very profitable system or large bets to avoid data charges from net commission. :O
