A couple of potential improvements for me would be that if manually trading with "one click betting enabled" you could select "reverse" (sometimes caller "swap") so if clicking the blue prices it lays at that price and vice versa backing on the pink side - not at the best price but the one clicked.
Having the ability to select fixed liability for lays, rather than fixed stake would also be good.
Finally, in Timemachine (TM), if you have a lay bet (say £2) waiting at the price of Back_price2 (say 4.4, when the back_price is 4.6 with £4 available at that) in time TM this will only get matched when that price (4.4) appears in the left most pink price box. This presents a pessimistic picture of trading and possibly shows an in-play trigger as not profitable, when it might be in the real world.
In real trading someone might take your offered price as soon as all the £4 waiting at the Back_price is taken, while the lay price may still be 5 for example.
To emulate this in TM, could you not say that if the last_traded price in the recorded market equals your offered lay, then it gets matched? (and the same for back bets) So as soon as a bet of 4.4 gets matched in the recorded real world, it assumes you were at the front of the queue for that.
I think this would make TM a much better representation of the real world - although possibly giving a too rosy picture at times. Perhaps this could be an option to select depending on your strategy and perception of risk.
