Partner for the scheduler function?
« on: 10 May 2015, 14:54 »
I leave MFP running days/weeks at a time because the settings and what I am doing allow me to do so.  What I do have to do manually is click the statement button and then do a save (in CSV format).  Can this be automated like the scheduler in the monitoring options?

i.e. Have a "Exactly at this time every day: hh/mm/ss" option for saving the statement to a specified directory path (possibly with an overwrite option if needed for same filenames).

That way, knowing UK racing is done and dusted by 22:00, MFP could automatically save the statement (and logs?) and I am happy in the knowledge my test data is stored should I not be able to get to the PC for an extended period of time.  Knowing that a large amount of statement / log data can slow things down, there could also be an option to "clear up" the MFP logs once a save to the user's specified directory has been done.

Try Autohotkey http://ahkscript.org/ to do the automation. I actually download from Betfair since I am to diseminate different sports.

Hi londolozi,

many thanks for the suggestion.  I'm not sure this would do what I'm after (I would need MFP or a trigger to be able to run a script and even then it would need to emulate mouse clicks I think).

But I have made a note of the product - it looks very useful for other Windows based tasks.

Using key strokes is the best policy. The only part of the code that uses mouse movement is the where you need to hover/click the 'download to spreadsheet' link on the betfair page.
I always save it as a generic name then change the name using Autohotkey.
eg Bethistory.xls becomes Bethistory_NFL.xls

Hi,

I think we are talking at cross purposes!

The statement I am referring to is the "statement" button on the MFP interface.  i.e. It is the MFP statement I am meaning, not the Betfair one.

Yes, we are.
I am suggesting you use the Betfair one since you can set a regular day range eg -1day or -7days etc.
As well as individual sports.
