Top to bottom order on screen
« on: 16 Mar 2010, 23:30 »
I'm grateful my request to indicate the numbered order of favouritism was implemented, i.e. Fav=1, 2ndFav=2, and so on. However, a further request in this context ! (Please !)
Can you also show on the screen the order of favouritism from top to bottom ? (i.e. At the top is the Fav=1 and at the bottom of the screen the despised outsider.) I know some will not want or need this, so perhaps it could be done not as a default but as a choice with another button.

Do you mean you want to have selections sorted by their price all the time?

Oxa,

Yes, I'd be grateful if the runners can be sorted by their prices/order of favouritism. Favourite at top and so on to the longest priced at bottom. If it can be done, could it also be an alternative to the current sorting ?

Thks.

So when the market turns In-Play, you want them to jump up and down incessantly after every refresh?  :-\

Well, if MFP is unattended, it wouldn't matter. But if I was attending the screen/race in-play and it did bother me, I'd switch it back to current sorting...provided MFP gave me the choice of going from current sorting to my requested sorting and vice versa. When the race is not in-play and I'm attending the screen/race, I'm usually interested in the first 3 favourites which usually don't change enuff to worry me and again, it it did, I would switch back to current sorting.

Hi PFC

I've designed my own Excel spreadsheet which does this as one of the ways in which race data is manipulated. In my opinion, it's not worth the system resources, as it takes a lot of CPU to keep sorting the list and that computing power would be better off either doing data analysis or firing your triggers quicker to maximise the chance of your bets getting matched. I discovered that in a race with many runners being sorted at each refresh leads to your back and lay prices for each horse in the race lagging far behind the true prices.

Regards

Ed.

Oxa,

Oxa,

Ok, what about a compromise ? Can you colour code say the first 4 favourites ? Currently, the 1st Fav is coloured yellow and it's a big practical help. Can you also colour code the next 3 favourites in different colours ?

PFC, I will add some option to "Look & Feel" to help you do that.
