Don't trust this software

I suggest you fix your software before charging people, because it's full of bugs.

So I bought £5 pounds worth of markets but there was an Error while downloading the market: Failure to download Market ID 110182368. Please contact support.

I emailed support and a ticket was raised. I received a message from Tim Vetrov saying There was a problem with our market data processing software.
The process has been restarted.

I then tried downloading the markets that I'd purchased and got a message on the screen saying "All the markets you purchased have been donwloaded"  ::) I checked to see if the markets were there, no, nothing  :-\

I sent another message to support basically saying the markets are not there, and the reply from Tim was:
Please try to refresh the tree (with the button) and re-download the markets.

I had already tried that but had another go, and still get the same message "All the markets you purchased have been donwloaded" but none of the markets I had purchased were there.

I sent another message saying that I had tried refreshing and re-downloading, and was there anything else that I could try?

I haven't received any reply back. So I asked for a refund, and still no reply from a week ago:-\

So Tim why are you ignoring my messages? I've been patient and tried to resolve the problem, but I gave up with it and want a refund. Check my ticket TLI-408190 all my details are there.

I wouldn't usually agree with a first time post from a disgruntled user, but on this occasion I do.

There is nothing wrong with the actual TM program once you have the data downloaded, so you can trust the program and I would take issue with the title of your post, but I have also experienced a lot of problems obtaining all the data I have purchased.

For example, I purchased all the horse meetings for 1.10.13, 3.12.13, 4.12.13 & 7.12.13 -
and all of these dates have races omitted, for example:

1.10.13 Ayr -only has 14:50, 16:00 and 17:00 races
1.10.13 Chep - only has 13:00, 13:30, 15:15 & 16:20 races

All the dates/meetings have loads of races missing, but I can't be arsed listing them all!

I also purchased greyhound BAGS meeting for various dates and again all have races missing.  I haven't got round to complaining before as I was busy with other things, but I am now getting a bit annoyed with the experience and would also like a refund for all the data I purchased.

Yes, there could be problems with the data collected (errors, etc.) causing excluding markets from our database. We work to make the data more accurate but can't guarantee we'll have 100%. At least until we collect the data ourselves.

OK, so some markets could be excluded due to collection errors.  But I need to purchase all the races for a meeting (which is what I am paying for), so can you advise from what dates the data are complete and contain all races for both horse and greyhound meetings?

Since I have not received all the races I paid for, can you refund all my purchases and I will purchase more meetings from after the dates you advise?

I think it's better to move this discussion to support as it's related to your order, please.

But I'm afraid I can't say which dates are complete in our database because corrupted data are not saved.

We understand that the price is the same for complete and incomplete meetings but unfortunately the price scheme imposed by BetFair and we don't see how it can't be solved. Can somebody suggest anything please?

Tim,

I've just received your email and the markets that I'd purchased are finally there now and working, so thank you for fixing it but I shouldn't of had to chase this. I'm glad that I did though because if people don't moan nothing gets fixed, and I hope it's helped others with the same problem like Rubold.

And I agree with Rubolds post above that my title of this thread is a bit harsh because the Time Machine itself works ok, it's just the purchasing of markets that needs looking at.

That's very disappointing Tim.  It makes it impossible to apply a trigger to a complete day's races.  I checked some more recent days from 01.02.14 and there are still loads of missing races, so you really need to solve this problem or the software will be much less viable than it could be.

No idea how to solve it, I thought that was your job - perhaps you could ask Fracsoft for advice as all their data is complete and presumably they record it live as you do.

Martin, the problem was with Moneybookers (Skrill), they didn't send confirmation about your order properly (rubbish char in username). Sorry for not looking into the problem properly.
