Time Machine for Italy (Betfair.it)

Hi,
someone knows if Time Machine can be used also with Betfair.it (Italian version of betfair.com)?

If not, do you know why and if it's planned to be released in the next future a version for Betfair.it  ?

I'm really interested to the Time Machine backtesting strategies, but it seems I can't use it in Italy with Betfair.it.

I'm not certain but if you can log in to betfair.it with the main program then TM should also work since an internet connection is only required to log in and then runs independently of Betfair.

I don't think so because It seems Time Machine needs the data stored in Betfair. And it seems that the API to interwork with betfair.it are different from API in Betfair.com
But I'm not sure...

For TM the login is only used to ensure you have a license for the software.  No data is required from the Betfair servers as these are stored locally after downloading from Welldone servers.   Perhaps someone from Welldone will come along soon and solve this problem for you.

In this case it should be really good !
Let's see if someone from Welldone can confirm your assumption.

I tried to follow the Subscriptio procedure and I received the following message:

The country you are in right now has been detected as Italy. BetFair API services are not available for this country. Your subscription is likely to be cancelled if you proceed. If it is a mistake and you're in a different country, please ignore this message. Note, the Italian BetFair Exhcnage is not supported.

So It's is confirmed that Time Machine doesn't work with Betfair.it. It's really a pity !

I can't understand why the SW house doesn't provide at least an off line version (with a limited offline database). It should be in any case usefull for many strategy tests.

Yes, It should be good if someone from Welldone could clarify better.
IT's very strange for me why It's needed the connession with Betfair. It's an offline Database.
The only reason could be that the Database is located in Betfair that gives access only in this way, but I don't understand the reason...

giucss has explained it correctly: we need an Italian account for accessing all Italian services and rendering our services to Italian customers. According to the Italian regulator, we are not allowed to let Italian users download and use the regular version of MF Pro or Time Machine.

Right now it is tricky for us, as none of us is an Italian resident.

If someone can rent us their account to test the Italian version, please send me a private message and we'll discuss the details.
