  • Hi there,

need a little help here, because I am back testing a trigger that is wholly reliant on Near SP, only thing is that the FarSP and NearSP in timemachine return 0.00, im using r_1_near_sp to get it is there another way here to do it?

    Thanks

  • hi
FarSP and NearSP  are not the correct variables
    far_sp
    near_sp
will return values up to the start time then it is
    actual_sp

  • Hi mcbee,

Im trying to use nesr sp as projected sp before the off, thats why am using near_sp but its coming back as 0.00.

  • Sorry,

I am using near_sp by using r_1_near_sp and ive tried s_1_near_sp works fine on live data but returns 0.00 in timemachine.

  • hi
I have tested the near and far variables , they work ok in the time machine.
are you using the latest version of mfp
are the markets that you are testing showing the near and far sp values as not all greyhound markets support sp
when are you recording the values.

  • Hi mcbee,

Are these a feature that is turned off for fast mode?

I will update mfpro but i had problems with the market locator whilst using betfair mode.

I know they support SP as the SP prices pop up once market is suspended before off.

Trigger records variables 1 min before off, but it takes a snapshot at that time. I have tried recording the values 10 secs before off and still 0.00.

  • Hi mcbee,

I have installed latest version off mfpro and downloaded markets that ran last week but still having the same issues.

  • hi
can you include your trigger so that I can test it to see where the problem is.

  • I have also checked near_sp and it does return non-zero values, at least for GB Greyhounds.

You can check the value of s_1_near_sp in the View Variables window.

So we need more details to tackle your problem.

  • Hi oxa,

When displaying that var in user variables it displays 0.00 still.

    see SS.

at 6 seconds before the off the variables are still 0.00 and remain 0.00.

  • Hi has anyone found out how to fix the problem yet, just to reiterate that im only having this issue in TimeMachine mode and not betfair mode.

    thanks

  • Hello! I have some sad news I'm afraid.

The historical data plan we are using (the Advanced one) does not include far and near SP prices, so they are not available in Time Machine (the actual SP are available though). You would need to contact BetFair directly and make an inquiry about a more expensive plan to get these prices.

This concerns all markets starting from September 2017 when we had to switch to that plan (prior to that we were collecting data under a different plan, that's why I can see those prices in earlier markets).

  • Hi,

Thanks for getting to the bottom of this for me, this explains it I suppose.

I wont be giving betfair any more money at the moment so will just leave it there.
