A little trigger issue
« on: 12 Aug 2013, 15:28 »
Hi Chaps,

1st post, & have been using MF7 for 3 months now.

Its been great fun, but I have an issue when my trigger is running in real money mode, in that a trigger is laying multiple times.  This doesn't happen in test mode.

I think this is because it can take so long for the Lay to be matched that the trigger is not seeing it and firing again.  The result is multiple lays for the same horse.

I have set the trigger to "no more often than 2 sec"
Should I increase this or is there a better way that anyone can suggest?

Thanks in advance

Kallixx

Hi
The default setting for updating the list of bets is 3sec.
If your trigger repeats quicker than the list of bets is refreshed you will encounter this problem.

Several things you can look at:

If your triggers are in a trigger block with a close block trigger, and the block repeats, you should not have a problem. See manual on trigger blocks.

Check your settings as mentioned above, and set your trigger repeat every x seconds greater than the bets refresh rate.

Include conditions to check for previous lay bets, or unmatched bets, or number of bets.

Build in a time delay to wait for the bet to appear if the lay trigger fired:
