adding trigger
« on: 01 Jul 2014, 09:15 »
Sorry to bother you but could anyone help please.

I have a suite of triggers already running...mark v has kindly written me another trigger.....how do I add that to the suite of triggers I already run?....I've tried "new file"..."add block".."add trigger"..I've even tried just dragging it into existing suite of triggers via the "triggers" in marketfeeder.

Thanks for any help
Paul

Hi Paul
Unfortunately you did not specify your most recent trigger will be run at the same time as other triggers. The trigger will work fine on it's own, but there will certainly be interference if you attempt to run them together. The main problem will be the stop-loss lay bet will be fired on any selection that meets the stop-loss conditions.

I shall attempt to edit the latest trigger and will post an updated file to the trigger topic shortly.

To add a trigger block to an existing file:
click the Copy button on the trigger block to copy
go to the main trigger file you want to paste into and click the Paste Block button at the top
manually add the constants from the new trigger file to the main trigger file
save the file

Many apologies Mark I didnt mean to cause you any problems...I did think that all triggers could be run in isolation and would not impact on each other.

Hi
It's no problem at all :)

If you do run multiple triggers at the same time you should definitely consider if one trigger will affect another.
