[TR] Back to Lay trigger that works
« on: 27 Feb 2017, 10:23 »
Hi Oxa

Ok, I can't for the life of me work out what went wrong with my simple back to lay trigger but I accept it was my trigger so the fault probably lies with me. Going forward I can't work with a trigger that is going to misbehave from time to time so it's over to you :)

What I want is a trigger to execute a back bet pre-off and to put in an immediate lay bet (to keep in-play) to green up for 100% of my stake, commonly known as "Dobbing". I may have multiple runners in certain races so these bets need to be separate and greened up independently.

I've included both the trigger files (ignore the football triggers) for you to look at and see what could be improved.

What I really want to do is actually bet at BSP and green up from that price BUT I don't think I can specify a price range can I as MF Pro won't know what the BSP price is until the off. Right?

hi
so all you want is a dobbing trigger for any runner that is within your set prices.

Basically that's right. I import my selections from a text file so it's not all runners. one of the systems has a condition of amount of runners but essentially it's a simple robust dobbing trigger I'm after. mine went berserk a couple of times I think when used on multiple runners in a race.

hi
here is your trigger,in the constants you can set.
Bet amount
Minimum back price
Minimum number of runners
Maximum number of runners
Minutes before the start time to place the bets

please make a list of selection names exactly as they appear on mfp screen,i have included a list for you to look at so you know what is required , please copy the file and paste it where you will be using it and alter the names to your selection names then give the trigger your file location.

please use test mode until you are happy with your settings

download the trigger below

thanks mcbee will give that a go.

My trigger used the 2nd action as green up at 100% of stake and again today it has been firing in the 2nd (lay) bet at the same price as the back bet so not 100% green up return. God only knows why it's suddenly stopped performing as it was.

Sorry to be a pain but i just recently changed my staking to 2% of bank and used (balance/100)*ba (where ba is percentage of bank figure). Any ideas what I would use in the 2nd action lay bet amount where you had it as ba*2?

 Could I use ((balance/100)*ba))*2

hi
A user reported a glitch with the "attempt to green-up" trigger action: when you chose "Based on profit%", it would green up to a zero P/L.

We have now fixed this glitch and updated the program on the server. Please re-download and reinstall
