  • hi
    i will set it to
    maximum 12 runners
    any amount of bets
and see if it works, if not then i will use your settings.
BUT, i will include constants to set the maximum numbers etc.
oh and when i was testing, i found that to set the amount to win to .50 was far better at making a good profit because the lay bets went in sooner and there was only 1 loss of .78, but using 2 euro ther were a few losses of 15 euro.
using the .50 produced profits from .64 to 3.46

  • hi
    here is the trigger
in the constants you can set
    bet amount
    profit required
time to place the back bets
    minimum back price
    maximum back price
maximum number of runners  (maximum 15)
    maximum number of qualifying selections

the trigger will place back bets, then at any time if there is equal or more than the set profit by greening and distributing the loss on all selections that has back matched amounts.
it has ended up like a green dutch  :o i think that there will be much interest in this trigger

please use test mode until you are happy with your settings

  • Hi!
Could I ask for an hint?
What value is the best to be set for this option:
"Time to place the back bets before the start time    .016=1 second"

thank you very much and regards, Mattia.

  • hi
at .016 the prices are more settled, so they wont be altering very much.
but if you want to green up before the off, then 5 to 10 is good.

  • Thank you mcbee!
I am testing and at the moment I always see the trigger correctly placing the back bets, but only in one case the lay bets for the greening.
There is a setting that I can modify to set a time limit for the greening (or s/l) ?
I'm using your trigger without modification.

  • hi
the trigger is mainly for uk and ire horse racing, all other countries do not have in-play or are very poor liquidity in-play.
do not set the profit to high or you will not get the lay price low enough for a green up.

  • Hi mcbee  :)
one more question please, it is possible to change this trigger to back at starting price?
    for example:
Back in a Horse race, all horses that has a starting price between odd 3 and 9.
    that is possible?

    thanks for the help :)

  • hi
    here is the trigger
in the constants you can set
    bet amount
    profit required
    minimum starting price
    maximum starting price
maximum number of runners  (maximum 15)
    maximum number of qualifying selections
the triggger will place the bets if the SP is within your set prices.
please note this trigger bets in_play only due to using the SP.
due to the greenup of more than 1 selection, when using lower prices, there is less chance of greening, so you need to do more testing with different price ranges.

please use test mode until you are happy with your settings

please use the other trigger example for betting before the in-play

  • Sometimes you are lucky.

I have been trialling this method with a default $5 back bets limited to three per race.

Today I found a nice surprise when my account was up +$660.

Take a look at Direct Approach match at 490/1 in this screen capture.

  • Hi londolozi
Reading a post race commentary: "SP 50/1 Held up in touch on outside, closed 12f out, led 3f out, ridden 2f out, stayed on, eased close home opened 66/1"
I think early on someone is trying to get out at whatever price. They know there is limited liquidity at these prices, so offers high. Lucky indeed - nice one squire.

  • This horse had an sp of around 438 on Betfair, I couldn't believe it when it romped home, although I made a small loss on it, I also traded on another horse in the same race that was around 380 sp, I was surprised that both had an official sp on sporting life results of 50/1, although this massive disparity between official and betfair sp is rare, especially in a small field, it does happen, these winners are rare though!
