Greyhounds betting [TCKT05082013GH]
« on: 05 Aug 2013, 21:39 »
Hello,

I'm having a little trouble with previous races with marketfeeder.

What I want is to have the trap numbers of the winners of the previous races in the same racetrack. I used pw_1_sel_index but it doesn't work because it gives me the trap number of the previous race on my markets and not in the same racetrack.

Other thing that I'm having troubles with is the winner and 2nd place in the place markets are often switched. This happens regularly on betfair? Or just on test mode?

How can I make a history of the winners an 2nd places of the same day in the same racetrack so my bot can automatize my bets everyday regardless any other days?

Regards!

I recall someone doing this previously. Have a good search through the threads. Otherwise McBee has done the greyhound journey, he will set you straight.

I've figured out to do the historic algorithm for the races.

But my other question remains. Why sometimes the winner in the win market does not correspond to the winner in the place market. In the place market, the winner and 2nd places sometimes they are reversed. It's messing with my bot   :-\

There is no winner and 2nd place in the place markets - they are both winners.   This is just the way they are displayed.   It might be less confusing if both labels stated " A Winner" or "One of the Winners".   How does it mess with your bot, surely you identify the actual race winner from the Win market?

In the terms of winning the bet it doesn't matter which one finish first or second. But when the race is settled if you look the winner in the win market does not always correspond to the first place in the place market shown in MFP. This happens in horse racing too. I guess I've to make a condition for this

Yes, Betfair does not report on the API which place position a horse or dog occupied since it is irrelevant to the settlement of the market.  So MFPro is just randomly guessing the positions in the settled place markets.

Yes that's it. Although it wouldn't be very difficult for betfair to do this right, just a simple algorithm would solve this.

hi
i had this problem with the greyhound races.
the way i solved it was to monitor the forecast market and use the result from that to use in my next race betting trigger.
the forecast result has to be correct, as in, index 3 first and index 5 second etc
