  • I am new to this and want to do the following but can't find out how

I want a list of bets for horse racing in an excel sheet with a maximum price to back each one 1 minute before the offer for a variable stake

Is this possible using an excel file which can be imported?

  • Hi
yes, have a look in the help file section: excel interface > importing selection data from a sheet

can also import selections and data from a text file:
    helpfile > auto-trading > import selections for auto-trading
and here's an article on the same

    I get an error

Failed to get the range from the spreadsheet

I am sure it is setup correct, here is a image of the settings and the sheet

  • Hello!

Please also check the name of the sheet (it is not visible on your screenshot). The name is case sensitive.

  • Yes the name of the sheet is correct

Does the version of excel make a difference?

    Using excel 2000

  • Did you actually connect MF Pro to that sheet using the "Launch Excel" link in the program's upper menu?
  • #7 by debramee on 30 Jan 2017
  • Yes I did

  • I checked the code and, judging by the message, the problem does not lie in the incorrect sheet name (otherwise you would be getting a different error message). There is some problem either with saving those cells or generating a log message.

What I can do is build a special version of the program for you that will generate a detailed log of this import operation, so that at least we know what exactly is the issue.

If you're willing to do this, please drop me a private message, I'll explain what to do.

  • hi
i have tried many times to recreate the error but am unable to, whatever i try the selection still load.
and now you have problems with markets not loading.
these sound like some software is blocking communication with mfp.
make sure that mfp has full access through your firewall , antivirus software , windows defender and any other software that you have installed that can stop mfp from working correctly.
also make sure that you are running mfp as administrator.

  • Me same problem, since 1 week markets not loading. Didn't changed anything from the server , other software works only marketfeeder is not loading any markets . Supports needs to answer . Subscription will end.
