Lay the Draw - NEW strat idea
« on: 14 Dec 2012, 23:53 »
Hello i am newbbie using MF but i have an ideia if someone can help to make this trigger, i will tell all in this topic.

so...thats what i do manually

1) At half time in a football match that is drawn with goals i will lay the draw, preferably @ 2.50. In most matches I have to put this bet in as an order and wait to be matched but I am fine with that as usually I can get in by the 50-55th minute.

2) Once this is done I will then put in a lay of the current Correct Score (1-1, 2-2 etc) for 50% of my stake that I am laying the draw with. This lay
order will be @ 2.

If Lay draw MO 20€ at @2.50 - 30€ liability

CS Lay - @2 - 10€ (50% Lay MO)

3) I then let the 2nd half play. If there is a goal I can usually lock in 60-70%
profit if it is the favourite who has scored. If is the underdog I might lock in
30-50% but this all depends on the match in question.

4) If there is NO goal by the time my lay order on the Correct Score market is
taken then I will exit my position on the match odds market. This will
usually be for a 40-50% loss across all outcomes. However, I am now in a
position on the Correct Score market whereby any goal being scored will
make me instantly break even on this trade and not take ANY loss at all.

5) Worst case scenario is that there are no further goals in the 2nd half. If that
happens I will have lost 100% of my stake. This is not a disaster and is
easily manageable depending on staking. The statistics are on your side
with this trade as 75% of football matches have at least 1 goal in the 2nd
half. As with anything, match selection is the key but by sticking to
matches involving strong favourites you should not go far wrong.

If any of you guys can help with this trigger i would apriciate.

Best regards :P

hi
i made a few adjustments in the monitor triggers as they were set to my prev settings.
so download and use this one.
yes it should do what you want, if not then we can adjust the triggers to suit.
i have set it to bet at 50 mins this allows for a few mins of extra time in the first half.

hi
thanks.
i think i have got it now.
it has placed the lay on the draw.
and placed a lay on the correct score , waiting to be matched.
here is the trigger, so if you find any error's or improvements post the new triggers.

thanks again.

mcbee

update
a goal was scored and the draw was greened up
the correct score never got matched
so it ended with a profit
i have just added 2 more conditions to stop any new bets been placed after the green or loss triggers have activated

hi Robertaustr
i have read your instructions again and i have a question about timing.
i have set the lay trigger to lay after 50 minute's.
should this be , between 50 and 60 mfp minutes  to place the bet at the haft time score only or longer time.

I see now that bot put bets on MO even if odd dont match criteria, and thats wrong.

Bot ONLY should place bets if odds between 50-70 min are under @2.50 or @2.50 on MO.

you did not say the odds should be 2.5 or less.
can you give the settings that you want.

Yes, If between 50-70 min odds on draw are 2.50 or less we enter in trade. If are too high we dont enter in trade waiting to be matched.

example:

Today on NEC Bot made a bet on LTD but was on 70 min of game (excluding half time)

and made the lay at @1.80 on match odds.

So perfect willl be:

1- If match are draw with goals at HALF TIME

2- enter time to lay the draw - 50-70min of game (mf time)

3- odds are @2.50 or lower

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
