No more often than

Hi all

I have been trying my hand at using the remember variable and want to remember the fav's stats every 30 secs. I have a back trigger set to run at 30 secs as well.My logs in time machine show the remember variable acting every 2 secs and my back trigger is checking the conditions more than once a sec from what I can tell. I read some old posts on here suggesting that the 'No more often than (sec)' setting may not work properly? Can someone please confirm whether I am understanding correctly. A screenshot of the trigger file is attached.The default idle refresh rate is set to 1.00 sec in settings.'Hoping I have missed something.

I don't think you have missed anything mcgoo. It would seem the default refresh rate is overriding the "NoMoreOftenThan" trigger execution command. I am not sure what you can do other than change the Default Refresh Rate to 30 secs. Or perhaps building in a unique timer into your trigger would work.

Hi mcgoo,

I've just done some tests that returned correct results, i.e. the trigger is being checked no more often than the frequency specified in its "Execute" parameter.

Please do the following:

Clear your trigger logs, that is, delete the following folder:

c:\Users\%username%\MarketFeeder Pro 8\profiles\%profile name%\logs\triggers

Then run your triggers again.

Then open the log browser and copy the logs that correspond with the market you were refreshing. Attach or post these logs here please.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried the log deletion and got the same results, so did an upgrade to the latest version but still no joy. I created a new profile but the remember variable still checks every two secs by the looks.Logs below(before the new profile)

Can do,but noticed this: I have been running in fast mode (Apologies; been running this mode for a few months and just defaulted to it) .When I run the markets at normal speed,the remember variable runs every 30 secs.When I click on the fast mode it returns to running every 2 secs.If you test and still need the trigger file,let me know.

It makes sense now, as logs are always recorded at real time, so 30 seconds in Fast mode equal to 2 seconds in real time. That is why you see the logs with a 2 second interval.
