Loading non standard markets from file?
« on: 29 Oct 2013, 15:59 »
Hello,

The Market Locator is great for locating and loading markets easily. But If I have a list of lets say 10 markets that I want to load and this list changes every day in a way that a pattern cannot pick them up whats the easiest way to load them?

For example is there a way to load markets that are located in a text file?

If the market locator step 2 market properties had the same feature like in the trigger editor where you could same "Name is in File" then we could use the scheduler in Market Monitoring to achieve this.

Any ideas?

Thanks

sh

Hi
The Locator has a Market Property in Step 2:
Market's Name contains values in file <path to .txt file>

Hi Mark,

What format should the names be in the file? I tried the different combinations but does not seem to be working. Example in the files attached...

Thanks!

Hi

I use list names every time

It must be a simple (.txt) file, one name in each line, and
the names must be exactly the same as appear in betfair

Imagine :

Monaco
Chelsea
Arsenal
Norwich
Man Utd

NOTE: U must use names from betfair same country as version of market feeder

e.g If u use portuguese MFP version must see names in Betfair portuguese web page
Same for UK version, etc etc

Thanks pcal72,

But when it comes to selecting the markets to load what format should be used? I used all kinds of combinations i.e.

"Nantes v Lorient / Match Odds"
"Nantes v Lorient/Match Odds - Nantes"
Nantes v Lorient/Match Odds
Nantes v Lorient / Match Odds
NantesvLorient/MatchOdds-MatchOdds
Soccer-Fixtures/Fixtures29October/NantesvLorient/MatchOdds-MatchOdds

but Market locator does not seem to pick them up..

Hi
You select the markets in the Sports section of the Locator screen.
Please see attached screenshot.
It shows the text file, and circled in red is where you choose the markets you want.

edit: added another screenshot

Thanks guys,

I was trying to add the full name of the market i.e. Nantes v Lorient / Match Odds because I wanted to load selectively specific markets for each game i.e. over 2.5 for game 1 and match odds for game 2.

Adding in the text file just the name of the team will by default load all over markets plus the match odds. I would then be able to delete the markets that I do not want by using a normal trigger and the feature not in file.

Thanks Again.

Text file works for me. I have tested this already for a week, and so far, I didn't ran into issues as of yet.
We only live once.

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
