hi mcbee,
I now see the problem, thanks.
I should have looked at the logs b4 posting.
So the gap condition ensures one gets a value back price. The 20 minute
wait suggests there was little liquidity in this match, am I right ?
If that is the case then perhaps a market's volume condition should
be added. Do you or any others know of a recommended minimum volume for soccer matches that will alleviate the gap problem ? Extending the gap will only lead to bad value which in turn makes it difficult/impossible to green up b4 the next goal is scored
.
I can see two major reasons why scalping the football markets won't work:
1) The 'gap' on Betfair is too large between back and lay price for several minutes.
2) Distribution of losses will wipe out any scalping profits over time.

Please tell me where I am going wrong.

Hi mcbee,

Can you help me to understand why the sus_mins was changed from
1.50 to .016 ?
The plan was to fire a back bet one and a half minutes after the suspended market to
allow it to settle. I also wanted to add the range from 1.50 to 3.00 meaning if conditions are not right after 3 mins then the bet will not be placed.
Thanks
R

hi
you complained that the bets were placed at 15 plus minutes.
it is up to you the end user to set all the constants to what you think is best for your betting system.

merry christmas and a happy new year to all

here is the trigger altered to 1.5 to 3.00
with the extra constant for the maximum minutes
