  • Hi,

I am new to MarketFeeder.  I am trying to create a trigger that will automate my current manual betting, which involves in-play, short-term backing the current favourite, then scalping it with a lay bet shortly after, once the odds shorten a little.

Can you please provide me with a trigger that achieves my criteria below?  I couldn't find an existing trigger that achieved exactly what I want.

    Thank you very much,

    Gavin

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

MARKET: any soccer match (match odds) where more than $5000 has already been matched.

    1st bet = BACK
    IF:
    (1) the spread for the favourite is less than 5 cents/pence
    (2) the match is in the second half
    THEN:
back the favourite at the market price

    2nd bet = LAY
    IF:
the 1st bet has been matched
    THEN:
lay the favourite at a price that gives me a 3% return, regardless of the final outcome (auto green-up).

    REPEAT 10x per match.

    No stop losses required.

  • Hello,

Please explain what you mean by the spread here:

    (1) the spread for the favourite is less than 5 cents/pence

  • Hi,

    Thanks for replying so promptly.

Just to clarify, when I wrote:
"the spread for the favourite is less than 5 cents/pence"
    I meant
"the difference between the best back price on market and the best lay price on market is no greater than 5 cents or 5 pence"  In other words, before I put on the back bet, I need to be sure the market is competitive enough and liquid enough so that I don't have to wait too long before the follow up lay bet kicks in.

    Thanks,

    Gavin

  • Yes, but how can the difference between the prices measured in cents / pence? Did you mean price ticks, i.e. 1.5 is 5 ticks less than 1.55.

  • Yes, I meant price ticks, as per your example.
    Thanks,
    Gavin

  • Your triggers are ready, please see the attached file.

I added constants for you to adjust your triggers. Apart from your conditions, I also included the min_price constant for the minimum price of the back bet. Towards the end of the match the favourite's price may get so low that you won't be able to finish the green-up in time, so you might want to specify the minimum price for the opening bet.

Make sure you have tested these triggers in test mode.

  • Thank you very much.
Question: are there any particular settings I need to make sure are set correctly for this to work, eg should 'auto green up' be on or off?
    Thanks again,
    Gavin

  • Please turn off Auto-Greenup, Auto-Dutching and any Stop-Loss settings (if they are on). Default program settings are enough for these triggers. Make sure the "Download Match Score" is ticked in Monitoring Options.
