  • Can anyone start me off and show me a simple way on how to write a trigger, sorry to say I am a rookie at MFP.

    I will advise you, that will be a good start begin to see a few videos and read manual.

    This is best way to really understand software power and capabilities.

    Then, after that i believe all here will help you to evolve on triggers design

    I agree with the last poster. You really need to try it yourself.

    My advice is: write out in English exactly what you want to do
    and use test mode to test it

    e.g.
    back the favourite
    in play
    if favourite’s price is less than 1.42
    and second favourite’s price is greater than 6.0

    …now I’m sure if you put your mind to it, you could do this trigger yourself.

    They will help you get up and running fast, show you other MFP possibilities you might have not thought about and most importantly save you from trying to reinvent the wheel.
