slow running issues??
« on: 21 Jan 2015, 16:48 »
hi i have recently set a trigger up which scans a few football markets at once, my computer was running mega slow as soon as the markets were selected which was in turn causing the bot to miss opportunities so i moved on to a VPS.

now i have a vps set up MFP still seems to run slow, e.i when i click on anything it takes a while till it comes up! does this mean the performance of the bot will be compromised in any way or is it a normal thing to happen when you have quite a lot of markets selected?

any help would be appreciated

There could be a number of reasons. Amongst those reasons could be

(1) how large the trigger file you are running is
(2) how many markets are you monitoring
(3) what refresh rate are you using for those markets
(4) how good is your internet service

Check other posts on the forum for corresponding issues and you may find the answer. Otherwise you can post the above information and someone will help you

cheers mate well at the minute i am running the trigger through quite a lot of markets at the same time as i am including the virtually pointless games with hardly any money traded through them so say 280 today, its also monitoring the match odds and 2 other markets at the same time so quite a lot to be fair (this will come down after this week i am just calibrating it while there is not much happening it the main leagues) .

the refresh rate was set at 2 seconds by the trigger developer and i have no idea what is required to be honest so i left it at that. the trigger is time related so maybe need to be quite often

as for internet i am using a vps so its lightening quick (or so it should be) tested it between 80 and 100 mb/s so plenty quick enough.

Yeah, I think you answered your own question there  :).

I would imagine you have too many markets open at the same time.

As i was writing it i was thinking the same!! haha cheers anyway i have scrapped the deadwood leagues and concentraded on the top 2 divisions of the top 7-8 leagues in europe, the rest are a waste of time.
