Steamerbot
« on: 26 Mar 2013, 00:42 »
Hi,
Sorry to come on here asking,..I've been an MF user since MF4 and I always come back to it now and again and have a dabble..Lately I've been following the live betting shows on the sportinglife website, which has lead me down a path to another  betfair bot called Steamerbot.

Now I like the look of some of it's features and would like to trigger them in the bot I already own! So if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to set up a trigger in MF with the some of the  features -

The timings section determines the points in time at
which the prices of horses will be compared and you
have a few choices when it comes to varying these.

T1 is the time at which the prices are first recorded in
the system. You have two choices as to how you set this
up, either:
 Mins Before Post – A rolling check that will occur at the same interval before each race
 Time of Day – A set point in the day where all the races’ data will be drawn in
T2 is the second time the system check for the prices, and the point at which calculations are done
and bets placed. Again there are two options for this:
 Seconds to Post – A rolling check that will occur at the same interval before each race
 Time of Day – A set point in the day where all the races’ data will be drawn in
Obviously, T2 has to be set after T1 for the system to work.

and betting behavior

Order biggest steamer in my odds and movement range – so long as there is a steamer
within your percentage movement and odds range,  will place a bet. If there
is more than one horse that is within the ranges, it will bet on the one that has moved
the most
o Don’t bet if biggest Steamer is outside my odds and movement range –
looks at the entire marketplace, and if the biggest steamer was outside your odds range,
will not place a bet in that race
o Bet on all qualifying steamers – if there is more than one horse that meets your odds
and movement criteria, this option will make bet on all that qualify.

Hi
This example trigger gives some good pointers on setting up the conditions you asked for. Probably the key condition is:
Selection’s Back Price Dif over x minutes is less than 0
You can run this check according to the T1 and T2 timings, and if a selection meets these checks you have got your steamer(s).
The other conditions such as the odds ranges etc. are quite straightforward

Thanks for the link Mark. I'll check that and see what else I can do on it.
We only live once.

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
