Triggers for Tennis betting
« on: 07 May 2015, 11:47 »
Hi Guys

I have been playing with triggers for horse racing for a while now. I want to start playing with triggers for Tennis.

Is there any triggers that could be shared that I could have a look through that someone could share. There is loads for horse racing but I havent seen much for Tennis.

Regards

Hi steve,

You are a braver man than I if you go ahead with tennis betting in play. I would not even contemplate it .

See the attached as an example of what you can expect to be playing against;

Hi Guys

The math for Tennis trigger is very simple, as there are only 2 runners and only 2 possible results. But in comparison to horse racing there are big problems with Tennis triggers:

-- poor liquidity in many matches.
( you cannot develop a trigger which depends on the possibility to back and lay whenever the strategie demands it)

-- start times are not known
( you cannot write a trigger which needs some actions done before match switches to inplay. There are even delays for the first match of a day. )

-- game interrupted very often ( e.g. after 3 games played, medical timeouts,...
( indicaters like MACD, RSI, ... get confused if game resumes.

So there are many problems with tennis triggers. Try your trigger for semifinals and finals first, these matches usually have enough liquidity. For ATP 500 and ATP 1000 tournamets, round of last 8 is fine, too. At grand slam, you can try your trigger with round of last 32.
