Help with Bet Trigger
« on: 08 Jan 2014, 15:22 »
Hi,

I hope I'm allowed to ask this on the forum.

I hoping someone can help / guide me to create a 'trigger' for the following
(I've just taken a two week trial and now realize that it could take the weeks weeks to workout triggers :():

1. I want to 'back' any horse at a particular price (say $3), only when a horses (any horse) 'lay' price drops below a certain price (say $2.50 in this case).
I only want the back bet... not the lay bet. This relies on fluctuations.
So obviously it needs to be inplay.
Only bet on the race if the favorite is over $3
And only allow one bet per horse and one bet per race (also later may try it allowing a max of two bets per race - one bet per horse).
After running this successfully, I would then consider adding a recovery feature to this trigger.

2. Different, but similar trigger (there is probably a standard trigger on the MFP site for this one):
I think you call this 'Trading'
Market would be Tennis (same thing with horses as well).
Place Lay bet at a particular price ($1.33)
Only once the lay bet is placed, then place a 'back' bet at say $1.75
I would like to try two options (create two triggers like):
    (a) Second bet (back bet) place at same $ value as the lay bet (profit 'all' if it wins and break even if it loses).
    (b) 2nd trigger to test... Second bet size to allow equal profit which every player wins.
Allow this to only happen once in a market.

Thanks in advance... (I know I'm asking a lot).

Chris

Rather then waisting a day waiting for responses read the manual. Just browsing it and read key topics you are intrested in goes a long way.

Next ... check out http://marketfeeder.co.uk/solutions/

Specifically here .. http://marketfeeder.co.uk/solutions/bet-price-change/

I would also recommend you get time machine and purchase a couple of meeting so that you can run your trigger over and over without having to wait for a race. I don't understand your price criteria but everything else you specified is a basic back trigger, once per selection and markets status in play. These 3 are just drop downs.

I know it can look daunting initially but spend 30 minutes browsing the manual, get some triggers from solutions and mess around with them. In a day or two you will be able to do what you need above.

Fortune favors the brave!

hi
here is a basic trigger to get you started
in the constants you can set
bet amount
minimum favourites SP price for race selecting
maximum lay price before the bet is placed

if the favourites SP is equal or greater than your set price and when a selections lay price reaches your maximum lay price setting a back bet will be placed at the best price on that selection.

for your trading trigger look at this

please use test mode until you are happy with your settings

mcbee

download the trigger below

Hi
Here is a recovery option for you on mcbee's trigger above.
Switch recovery on or off in the constant.

Please try it in test mode.

Hi mcbee, MarkV & 1oser,

Thank you all SO much for your help. It is very much appreciated.

mcbee, thank you very much for the trigger. It is great. Only needed to small amount of changes to do just what I wanted it to do. It enabled me to start my trial A LOT quicker than I would have been able to. Thanks again.

MarkV, thank you for adding in the recovery to the trigger.

Cheers,
Chris
