1. How to place a bet on either Under or Over in the current Over/Under x.5 market?

2. How to stop betting after X losses in a row

3. How to bet on the favourite if its volume of matched bets is greater than the cumulative volume of money matched on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th favourites?

4. My trigger places Dutching bets on the first three favourites. How do I increment a variable in that same trigger, i.e. add 1 to that variable?

5. I have two triggers, one of which lays and another one cancels any unmatched bets left after the first trigger. How do I make sure that the second trigger waits until the bets made by the first trigger are registered in the system?

1. How to know if Dutching bets will generate profit for a particular group of selections?

2. How to check if the favourite team plays at home?

3. How to delete unneeded markets to reduce the load on my PC’s resources?

4. How to clear some space occupied by the program logs?

5. How exactly does the “no more often than … sec” work? The trigger seems to check its conditions with a varied frequency. Is it an expected behavior?

Weekly Highlight 19/02/2020.

P.S.

Please post in this topic to let me know whether these tips are useful. Does anyone read them and put them to practice? Is the language simple and clear enough? Would you like some topics to be covered more often?

I'd appreciate your input!

Hi Oxa
There is a wealth of useful information in these posts. I certainly read them. One thing I find, it is difficult to search. The forum search is excellent as is the triggers search on the website. But the articles and weekly highlights are not so easy.

For example, I'm looking for "commission". Triggers search and forum search are spot on, but with the weekly highlights I know I've read it somewhere, but have to re-read each post until I find it.

MarkV, thanks for your feedback! I am happy to learn that even such a pro like you still finds something useful in these bits of advice I post. :)

Regarding the search: good point! May I suggest the tool I use with all the websites where I need to find something? I stopped using their built-in search (sometimes there is no such option whatsoever) and started using Google instead. Much more reliable!

For example, with "commission" just type this in the search bar:

site:marketfeeder.co.uk/learn/articles/highlights commission

It will list all the articles where commission is mentioned.

3. How to count the number of remaining markets in My Markets?

4. How to go back and forth along the time line in Time Machine

1. What are these strange prices in the Ladder, such as 9.24, 11.27, etc.?

2. How to find a horse whose price has fallen below a certain point, say 2.0, after it started with a price of 20+.
When you start monitoring the market, remember the prices of all selections at 20.0 or higher. The variable scope “Individually per selection” will allow you to do this.

3. How to check if the current market is the last in my list (My Markets)?

4. How to get the selection whose price has increased the most over the last X minutes?

5. How do I set the triggers to work only with markets that start within a certain time interval, e.g. the first half of each hour?

Here is a range of questions we have looked into over the week:

1.   Tennis: the "magic" price at the beginning of a match

2.   Why you need SPs and how they are calculated

3.   Force-matching bets in MarketFeeder Pro

4.   Bet lifetime in MarketFeeder Pro

5.   Tips on not vexing the exchange

6.   What happens to Over 1.5 shortly after the teams score the first goal?

1. Greyhound downtrends

This week we are featuring BFCharts – an affordable side tool for you to monitor all important BetFair price graphs on one screen.

https://youtu.be/rM7KIHF2Rck

Check out a clear downtrend on a BFCharts graph in the last traded price of the dog with the highest matched volume a few secs before the off.

2. Lay-Dutching tennis players

Laying two or more selections at a price below 2.0 in a Win market will bring you guaranteed profit. As simple as that!

3. Laying all horses at < 2.0

Elaborating further on the topic of laying below 2.0. The same trick will work with horses, only here it is easier to lay the entire field at a chosen price.

4. Cross-matching in football markets

Why does it make no sense to look for arbitrage opportunities across markets of the same event?

5. Quick formula for a trade-out bet for a selection with multiple mixed bets

Here’s a quick formula for a single trade-out bet that equalises profit/loss from a bunch of back and lay bets on the same selection.

6. Price drops at volume spikes

There is an interesting picture of last traded price drops around the moments when a substantial amount of money gets matched on the selection.
