Hey,

anyone know if you can write certain values such as volume percent of a selection to excel using a trigger? I know you can record the volume percents and check them in the trigger log but since I'll have 100s or 1000s of markets tested, ideally I need to be able to export it so that I can import it to excel same as you can with the bets and p/l reports.

Cheers

Hi
The lesser resources way to do it would be to write to a csv file which you can then import to Excel
If you really need to link live data to Excel your can try something like this. Edit back_price in this trigger to volume etc.

Perhaps keep in mind recording live market data from Betfair without placing any bets could fall foul their data rules.

Is this true if you even place real bets on other events? I've been with Betfair a long time and gone longish periods of testing without placing a bet (normally 2-4 weeks) and never had an issue with them. Some have recommended to just place one small bet a day, others say a slightly bigger bet a week would be fine and others say numerous bets a day to keep them off your back. The trigger will be placing bets, just fake ones lol I'll add the trigger to the betting triggers I already have just so I can adjust strategies based on volume percentages to find a winning strategy.

Hi
I think as long you do bet some real money then that's fine. If someone is just monitoring loads of markets without putting any money into the markets then that's taking the piss really. I mentioned it just so you are aware. Here is Oxa's article on the subject.
