A spreadsheet query please
« on: 03 Mar 2017, 05:27 »
For every race that qualifies, I create a spreadsheet through the Settings/Excel options.

As you will be aware, many of the cells in each spreadsheet are reserved for MFP functions. One of those cells is J2, into which the winner of each race is inserted after the result is declared.

In "test" mode, this works perfectly.

In "real" mode it rarely works.

In most cases, I have to insert the result myself.

Why is this so, please?

Hello!

So far, I've been unable to reproduce this problem. The winner's name appears in the corresponding cell each time the event is settled. Could you please email me your settings at oxa at welldonesoft dot com?

Thanks Oxa,

I will wait a day or so before I send my settings (straight forward standard).

Just after I sent my latest email, it seemed to be working OK, but intermittently. I can assure you it has not been working for at least 2 weeks, maybe longer, as I have been manually inputting for that period of time.

I will report again in a day or so.

Regards,

I have no reason to not believe you, please report as soon as you've spotted this behaviour once again. I just need some details as to what markets it was (greyhound/horse racing/soccer etc.), whether finished markets are deleted automatically and some other details.

I will slightly amend "delete settled events automatically"  by keeping the last event settled, just in case there is a time delay between the spreadsheet and the results being updated.

I'll let you know.

Thanks for your help,

Well that has fixed the problem. All is working well today.

So, it would appear that the last race result is being updated in MFP before the Betfair statement.

It's not a problem now that I know what it is, but would be ideal if the result could be delayed until after the statement is updated, then I would only have upcoming races on the screen.

Thanks again for your help.
